Taurus took the GX4 Carry, stuck Strike Industries’ FSA Single Stabilizer on the back, and called it the Strike Bravo. Not a PCC, not pretending to be one — but it makes the GX4 act more like a mini-PDW when you want steadier follow-ups and better dot tracking. If you like compact that punches above its size, read on.
Big thanks to my member subscribers for keeping the lights on and the ammo in the bag. Shout-out to Scottsdale Tactical for the hookup. This is an honest hands-on writeup based on controlled range testing. For education and entertainment only. Parts list at the bottom.
• Caliber: 9mm Luger
• Action: Striker-fired, SAO
• Barrel: 3.7" stainless, ½×28 threaded
• Slide: Gas-nitride finish, T.O.R.O. optic ready
• Mags: Ships with two 15-round magazines (uses GX4 mags)
• Height: ~5.16" — Width: just over 1" — Weight: ~34.9 oz unloaded
• Safety: Striker block, trigger safety, visual loaded-chamber indicator
• Strike Industries FSA Single Stabilizer — minimalist brace feel that anchors the rear for better control.
• Optic-ready slide (T.O.R.O.) and threaded barrel for comps/suppressors.
• Keeps compatibility with existing GX4 parts — mags, barrels, basepads.
• Better follow-ups and dot tracking with the stabilizer engaged.
• Compact footprint but noticeably more controllable than a plain GX4.
• Practical feature set for the price point: optic-ready + threaded barrel + stabilizer.
• Folding brace can interfere with a protruding charging handle unless you swap the handle side — simple fix, annoying if you don’t know to do it.
• Groups stayed honest out to 25 yards with the stabilizer engaged.
• Follow-ups tightened noticeably versus the standard GX4.
• Reliability was fine with standard range ammo; the main issues I ran into were hardware related, not platform related.
• Bring a small kit or have a parts guy on call if you’re fitting an optic to a T.O.R.O. slide.
• If you plan to fold the brace, either remove or swap the charging handle to the non-folding side first.
MSRP sits around $795. For under eight-hundred bones you get an optic-ready, suppressor-ready compact with a stabilizer included. Decent value if the package fits your needs.
Pros: compact, controllable with stabilizer, optic + threaded barrel, compatible with GX4 ecosystem.
Cons: folded brace + charging handle can be a pain.
The GX4 Strike Bravo isn’t a PCC replacement. It is a smart middle ground: a compact pistol that behaves more like a short PDW when you need it to. Fun to run, practical, and reasonably priced — worth checking out if that’s the niche you want filled.
