What’s going on, folks — RazorMP here.
This one is a straight-up range day comparison with five pistols that all live in the same “serious shooter” zip code. No brand drama, no fanboy nonsense — just me putting rounds downrange and seeing what happens when you run them side-by-side under the same drill, same shooter, same day.
Before we go any further, quick reality check: this is not a lab test and I’m not wearing a white coat. I ran each pistol three times and posted the best run for each. That means this is a sample size of one with plenty of variables that can move the needle — optics, ammunition, grip setup, recoil impulse, and even shooter fatigue. The interesting part is the deviation between these pistols was pretty minimal, which tells me something important: with tuning and enough practice, any one of these platforms can come out on top. Don’t let anybody convince you that you must spend top dollar to walk away a winner.
The pistols in this comparison, listed alphabetically, are:
Alpha Foxtrot Romulus
BUL Armory TAC PRO 5
Fusion Firearms XP Pro Comp
Sig P211 GTO Equinox
Staccato XC
The way I approached this was simple: run the same drill across all five and track two things — hit factor (points per second) and shot consistency (how tight I kept things under speed). If you’ve been around USPSA-style metrics at all, you already know why those matter. Hit factor rewards efficient speed, and consistency is what keeps you from having one hero run and five “what the hell happened” runs afterward.
What this test really highlighted is that these pistols are all capable, but they get there in different ways. Some feel like they want to drive flat and stay planted at speed. Some feel like they reward aggression but will punish sloppy inputs. Some are just brutally practical: they do the job without needing a second mortgage or a full-blown custom shop relationship. And that’s what makes this kind of comparison valuable — not crowning an internet winner, but seeing where each platform naturally shines.
If you’re deciding between any of these, my best advice is this: don’t shop purely off hype or price tags. Pay attention to how a pistol fits your hands, how easy it is to track the dot, how predictable the trigger is for you, and how quickly you can get back to the sights after recoil. Those details matter more than what a spec sheet says, and they matter more than my specific numbers on one specific day.
If you want to see the full breakdown and the range footage, watch the video and tell me what you agree with, what you don’t, and what you want to see compared next. I’m always down to run more match-style tests — especially if it helps you guys make smarter buys.
